Natural Options for Treating Eczema

eczema cureMost of the time people go to the dermatologist when they have eczema, and they are prescribed a pill, that does not really cure the disease, or even deal with the issue that is causing the condition. Instead, it only masks the condition while reducing the symptoms somewhat. Instead of relying only on prescription meds, there are some natural methods you can use to treat your eczema.

Some of the things that may trigger an eczema breakout are allergies, stress and chemical irritants. Try to stay away from allergies that may irritate your skin such as household dust and pollen. Also try to wear clothes that are NOT synthetic, instead use cotton and wool clothing. It is also good to wear cotton gloves at night when you sleep, to keep yourself from scratching the rashes. If you do not have a glove, you can use a sock on your hand instead.

You should also stay away from lotions that have chemicals in them. This includes fragrances of any kind, because it could cause irritation in the skin, thereby increasing the severity of the rash. I would recommend you only use natural products on your skin if you have eczema. Some of the best lotions are natural lotions, and I would recommend hemp lotion, coconut oil, and aloe vera for your eczema rashes.

Another good way to minimize the effects of eczema is to eat a proper diet. In order to produce healthy cells, you are going to need to follow a diet that is rich in omega-3 fatty acids. You can either buy an omega-3 fatty acid fish oil supplement or you can start eating lots of salmon, as it is rich in the omega fatty acids. Aside from being good for your eczema it is also good for your heart. You should also try to eat many fruits and vegetables, and most importantly, stay hydrated. If the body doesn’t stay properly hydrated, you can expect to have dry skin, which will deeply increase the effect of your eczema.
